Crew installing a large printed wall wrap on a building facade

A wall wrap is printed vinyl applied directly to a wall, edge to edge, so the wall becomes the graphic. It is the fastest way to turn a lobby, a hallway or a conference room into a branded space, and the fastest way to turn it back.

What a wall wrap costs in Florida

Installed pricing depends on three things: the surface, the film and the access.

Surface Installed price per sq ft Why
Smooth painted drywall, indoor $6 to $9 Calendared or cast film, fast install, no heat
Light texture, orange peel $8 to $11 Cast film, heat, more squeegee time per panel
Brick, block, stucco $10 to $14 Wall-specific conformable film, test panel, two installers per panel
Exterior, any surface $11 to $16 Weather-rated film, laminate, lift or scaffold

A 12 by 10 foot lobby wall, smooth and indoor, comes in around $900 to $1,100 installed. A 40 foot corridor at the same height is $2,900 to $3,600.

Two things move the number more than people expect. Overnight installs carry a surcharge because the crew is working outside normal hours. And venues that require badged contractors, like Orange County Convention Center, add paperwork time that we build into the quote.

Which surfaces take a wall wrap

Painted drywall is the ideal surface. The paint needs to be fully cured, which means at least thirty days old, and it should be eggshell or higher. Flat paint holds dust and chalks under the adhesive.

Textured walls need cast film and heat. The installer warms the panel, works it into the texture with a rivet brush, and post-heats so the film stays down. Skipping the post-heat is why DIY textured wraps lift in a week.

Brick, block and stucco need a film built for it. We use 3M IJ8624 or Avery MPI 2600 series and always do a one-foot test panel a day ahead. If the test lifts, the wall gets a primer first.

Glass, metal and laminate wrap easily but are technically window graphics or surface wraps. See our window graphics page.

What doesn’t wrap: fresh paint, water-damaged drywall, unsealed concrete, and any surface with efflorescence. We’ll tell you on the site visit rather than install something that will fail.

How the install goes

  1. Site visit or photos to confirm surface, dimensions and access.
  2. Print on the right film with a laminate for walls that get touched.
  3. Panels arrive in numbered order. We level the first panel and work across, overlapping a half inch.
  4. Heat and post-heat on any texture.
  5. Trim to outlets, switches and trim. Clean handover photos.

A four-person crew covers 800 to 1,200 square feet of smooth wall in one shift.

Removal

Removable films come off in sheets within the first year. Beyond that, or with permanent films, we heat the panel and pull at a low angle, then remove any adhesive residue with a citrus-based remover. Removal is quoted separately, usually $1 to $2 per square foot, and we photograph the wall before and after so there’s no argument with the venue.

When to call instead of DIY

Anything over 8 feet tall, anything textured, anything in a venue with contractor rules, or anything that has to be perfect by tomorrow morning. Those are the jobs where a failed DIY costs more than the install would have.
